Newman Studies
Jul 13th, 2007 by Br. Joshua
In 2003 the Pittsburgh Oratory joined with the Venerable John Henry Newman Association (VJHNA) to establish the National Institute for Newman Studies (NINS). The joint effort has resulted in a work designed to enhance the American community of Newman scholars. In 2006, NINS began its construction near the Oratory of the Gailliot Center for Newman Studies, which will house the national administrative offices of the VJHNA, the Newman Research Library, the Newman Scholarship Program and the Newman Studies Journal.
Also administered by NINS is newmanreader.org, the digital/online service for those interested in accessing Newman’s writings online. It is the cyber prequel to the extensive digital library and research tool being developed for NINS of the entire Newman corpus, called the Newman Knowledge Kiosk.
