The Newman Library
The activity at the construction site on North Dithridge Street is drawing attention, with the building of the Gailliot Center for Newman Studies. Two towers face the Oratory on the Bayard Street side of the new facility. On the inside, the towers contain stairwells and the elevator shaft; on the outside, the larger tower will be crowned with a four-faced clock, adding a uniquely informative and visually pleasing feature to the local cityscape. This new home for the National Institute for Newman Studies has several more weeks before it is finished, but we hope that you will continue to pray for its completion and anticipate your invitation to a late-spring Open House. Clicking on the pictures will take you to full-size versions on our picture gallery, which includes many more pictures of the progress from last year to this.
