Help the Pitt and CMU Newman Clubs!
Aug 24th, 2006 by Office Manager
Hey Everyone,
I realize those on our mailing lists just got the e-mail detailing the orientation activities, but we could actually use some help with some of them if anyone is willing to lend a hand:
First, we’re still lacking people who’d be willing to help out and serve food at the BBQ Sunday Night on the St. Paul’s lawn after the 6pm St. Paul’s Mass. All that’s required here is a willingness to help.
Second, we also need some students to sit at tables outside the St. Paul’s Masses and talk to the students that go there about the Newman Club and (if it comes up) other aspects of the Catholic Faith. The Masses that we’ll have tables after are the 6pm Saturday Night, the 8am Sunday Morning, the 10am Sunday Morning, and the Noon Mass on Sunday. Students willing to help with this need to be familiar with the club.
Third, I’d again just like to encourage everyone to reach out to new and returning students to help them make friends and feel welcome and Newman Club events.
Please send a reply if you’d be willing to help out with this stuff, and we’ll send you more details. I hope everyone enjoys the last bit of freedom they have, and coming back to Pittsburgh goes smoothly!
Peace,
