All Saints Vigil

Oct 20th, 2009 by Office Manager

October 31, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Location: St. Anthony’s, Troy Hill
Honor the saints and offer God a sacrifice of praise.

Putting the “Hallows” back in Halloween, we’re going to pray a form of the Church’s traditional prayer, called “vigils”, with some readings of and inspired by the saints, all by ghostly candlelight, with some processions and litanies thrown in for good measure. No costume needed! Just get your chant on, and come beg spiritual alms from all the several hundred saints whose remains are preserved at St. Anthony’s Shrine on the Northside.

The event will be finished in plenty of time for your later evening Halloween parties.

All students are welcome, with guests too.

Please reserve a place by contacting the Newman Center, and indicate if you’d be willing to be a driver.
