We are now taking donations to buy Thanksgiving turkeys for the needy families of Risen Lord Parish in Burnsville, West Virginia. The suggested donation is $10. New Translation of the Roman Missal

New Translation of the Roman Missal A new translation of the missal, which contains all the prayers of the Mass, will be implemented on the first Sunday of Advent, November 27. Although the prayers remain the same, some of the wording will be different to be in line with the norms established by Blessed John Paul II to preserve the richness of the original latin text. Thanksgiving Mass Schedule Changes

On Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, there will only be a 10am Mass. We will not have Mass at 7:30am, 5:15pm, and 9pm on those days.

Graduate Student Wine and Cheese Saturday, Nov. 5, 7:30pm, Newman Center Game Room An evening of wine, cheese, and a can’t-miss discussion on the new Mass translation led by Fr. Stephen. Pinot, bleu, and the “Lord with be you”… do you know the answer?! The evening will afford an opportunity to discover and discuss the upcoming changes to the English translation of Catholic liturgical texts. Saturday Vigil: 4:00pm, 5:15pm Sunday: 9:00am, 11:00am, 4:00pm, 9:00pm?Monday – Friday: 5:15pm Monday – Thursday: 9:00pm Tuesday – Thursday: 7:30am? Beginning September 9, Mass will be offered at 7:20am on Mondays and Fridays in the Oakland Catholic High School Chapel. 7:30am Mass on Monday and Friday at the Oratory will end after this Friday.

On Labor Day, Monday, September 5, we will have Mass only at 10:00am in the Oratory chapel.
