New Translation of the Roman Missal

New Translation of the Roman Missal A new translation of the missal, which contains all the prayers of the Mass, will be implemented on the first Sunday of Advent, November 27. Although the prayers remain the same, some of the wording will be different to be in line with the norms established by Blessed John Paul II to preserve the richness of the original latin text. The Catholic medical students of the St. Luke Society warmly invite all medical and nursing students and professionals to a celebration of their patron saint on the vigil of his feast day. A special Mass will be celebrated at 7:00pm on Monday, October 17 at the Newman Center Chapel of St. Philip Neri, with a reception to follow downstairs in the student center. Beginning September 9, Mass will be offered at 7:20am on Mondays and Fridays in the Oakland Catholic High School Chapel. 7:30am Mass on Monday and Friday at the Oratory will end after this Friday.

On Labor Day, Monday, September 5, we will have Mass only at 10:00am in the Oratory chapel.
