The Newman Center at the Pittsburgh Oratory

While all the works of mercy and community service we do promote the Culture of Life, our work for the tiniest, most defenseless persons bears a special place.

Students regularly take opportunities to pray at and counsel young mothers on abortion clinic sidewalks, volunteer in various ways at Crisis Pregnancy Centers and maternity homes, participate in educational and political efforts at increasing pro-life awareness, among many others. All our activities are carried out with complete respect for the law, while recognizing that human law bears its fullest weight when it conforms to the law of God written on every human heart.
