Newman Lecture – 3/16

Mar 16th, 2007 by Fr. Joshua

Newman the Oratorian

Fr. Drew Morgan, C. O., provost of the Oratory, will present the second of three introductory lectures on the life of Ven. John Henry Cardinal Newman tonight (Friday) at 7:30 pm.

The presentation covers the latter half of Newman’s illustrious life, and is entitled, “Newman and the Oratory: The Catholic Years 1845-1890″.

These lectures are in anticipation of the spring opening of the Gailliot Center for Newman Studies, and are meant as an initiation into the life and thought of this saintly Oratorian. All who have been meaning for some time to deepen their appreciation of his timely works, and who may be considering attending this summer’s Newman Conference will benefit greatly. Refreshments will be provided.
