A “New” Novice for the Oratory

Nov 14th, 2006 by Br. Joshua

With great joy and gratitude, the Pittsburgh Oratory is pleased to announce the admission of Stephen W. Lowery, Jr. on October 31st to its novitiate. Br. Stephen hails from Columbus, GA, and had spent several years in religious life and the seminary before finding (or being found by) St. Philip. (pictures included)

Now that he has received the Oratorian habit, he will further discern his vocation to the Oratory over the next year in the first part of the novitiate known as “first probation”.

We in the Congregation and in the wider Oratorian community wish him a warm welcome, while also praying for his continued perseverance in obeying the command of the Saint to, “be humble, be lowly,” always with joy.
